Tools to empower your life

Just watched Coal Miner’s Daughter, again.

Every single time I watch that movie and I cry my eyes out.

I love that movie and I’ve watched it at least two dozen times thinking this time I’ll be fine.  But no, when Loretta Lynn has her breakdown my eyes start to get misty.

Then when she comes back on stage in her country white dress and sings Coal Miner’s Daughter I lose it completely.

The funny thing is I can’t remember ever crying at another movie in my life.

I once asked Marilyn about my unusual emotional response.  Her answer was so utterly impossible I tend to believe it.

A look came across her face I can’t explain.  It was like a different person had just stepped into her body.  She did not look like herself.

Her voice was deeper and more male than female.  I even felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up like they did when we first met.

She said, “Tom, you are crying because you were once a coal miner.  You had five children, but only one was a girl.  Your wife died give birth to her.”

“She was your pride and joy.  You dreamed of seeing her marry and leave West Virginia, so she could have a better life.”

“You died in a mine disaster exactly like the father in the movie.  A disaster caused by inadequate safety precautions which you know means ‘owners greed’.  Your daughter was still a young girl at the time.”

“You take this movie personally because it mirrors your own experience.  You are still mourning your life being taken from you prematurely.  Before you could watch your daughter grow, marry and live a good life.”

“This is also why you push so hard to give others the tools they need to empower themselves.  To give them power over their lives.  So they will not have to go through what you have experienced.  So they will not have to live at the mercy of others.”

Then Marilyn came back as quickly as she had gone.  She looked up and said, “I’m hungry; let’s get some pie.”

I pray that 2012 is a joyous and prosperous new year for you and all those you love.

Interesting—–well I don’t believe in past lives but if I did I know I was someone rich as I know I had servants because to this day it does not feel right to clean the toilet. Seems like someone should be doing it!! HA!!

Tom, This makes perfect sense to me – I have been told and I have seen ‘me’ in previous lives. It is an amaing thing and I do believe that we can come into this earthly experience many times if we choose to do so. I believe that we may very well need more than one shot at it ‘to get it right’ or as ‘right’ as possible. It is fascinating that I saw myself as a Viking of some stature being sent out on the boat on a funeral pyre – I watched my own funeral – and then as I was working on my family geneology several years later, I found that I come from early Scandanavian kings – or so they think…. it does not ‘feel” wrong to me so maybe we just need to let these things be and learn from the experience and the information we gather. I want to be regressed again and see if there are other lives in my past and what happened as I do think that sometimes we come again to hopefully right a wrong or some such as that and learn more of what we are all about in this human form. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful New Year! Jane

I love it, Tom. Keep the “out there” posts coming. It’s 2012 now, so its now or never. You originally got my interest with your hawk story and this is more of the same. It’s another reason I like your calls so much as you tend to venture”out there” in a very respectable way.

It’s not too out there for me. I have that reaction when I watch the Sean Connery movie “The Name of the Rose” which takes place during the time of the Inquisition. 😉

Tom, we all have a story. Yours is amazing. I want to let you know that your phenomenal book, “I’m Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams, I Am! I Am! I Am has changed my life. I gave a copy to my sister and another couple. I’ll never forget the dead ants on the bathroom floor! The ONE chapter that resonates with me is the one on tithing. My husband and I tried tithing in the 70’s. Disaster…because we were giving to a church that did not sustain us spiritually…out of obligation. We quit. Tithing. And the church. Then I read your book in 2007. My husband still does not tithe but even if I win $1.00 on a scratch-off God gets 10 percent or more.
I started tithing IMMEDIATELY after reading your book. Started giving to where I was BLESSED. God is great. Since tithing my husband has received a promotion, a couple raises…and I received a surprise inheritance, the result being a great test of faith…giving out a SIZEABLE tithe. Great results. God remains faithful. We ALL have painful memories, but God uses them to minister to others. Please, JUST KEEP GOING! YOU are a great testimony to many, many people. God bless you real good and have a wonderful New Year. Sincerely, Lea Tartanian 🙂

Tom, Diane, Alex and family; Tom Marilyn’s assesment and her unique perspective for me is not too far out there. Jerry, and his wife Esther Hicks in their metaphysically attuned books; Ask and you shall receive, The amazing laws of your emotions both believe in my undertanding of past lives. Also, there have been a plethora of other cases documented re these experiences. One of which I watched on cable tv over a year ago. This was a case of a child who kept having nightmares of somehow crashing into the ocean in a plane, etc, it turned out he had been or the spirit of a former wwII pilot who died during the I believe Pearl Harbor attack came or a part of him came back in this child. And it was not until through professional and spiritual help and acknowlegement that this pilot was finally put to rest and child’ nightmares etc, were vanquished so to speak. In conclusion, Tom, I am really happy that you are still with us and that all is well with your family and business esp. Happy New Year. Mark A. Winn

I believe your story because you weren’t a king or Aristotle or Moses. Just a human being trying to get by. I think you could write a book about it!

    Hey Tom,
Just rediscovered this site! I’ve had several odd past-life experiences; many brought out by Barb Rasor. I also liked how you were just a normal person when so many past-lifers are King Tut or Queen Mary or Jesus. Im my past life memories, I am always just an average person.

Please keep writing for this site, I am enjoying these posts.

Hello sir,the story reflects what is reality; REINCARNATION is known by my native people. I am also referred to as an old soul and reasonably reverred. Your sophistication enabled you to harness same for possitivity whereas the superstitious illiterates mismanages same.Thanks.
