I had a bad case of writer’s block. I hadn’t written for some time and didn’t know what to say. It happens to the best of us.

Oh, I had plenty of excuses. “My feet hurt. My back hurt. I’m only four.” My favorite quote from Scrooged with Bill Murray. Great movie, probably dated, but then what isn’t anymore?

The point is I hadn’t written in a long time. Too long!

In case you’ve forgotten, my name is Tom Pauley I wrote I’m Rich Beyond My Widest Dreams. I am. I am. I am, a great book, timeless I’m told.

I called Penelope, my writing cohort, this morning to get the juices flowing. She said, “Write something more hash tag relatable.” Which I thought was a very good idea.

Then Lucy, my fourteen-year-old granddaughter who’s already a very good writer in her own right shrieked, “Mom stop!!! That’s so 2015.”

Like I said, everything is dated depending on whom you ask. Even the concept of Ask and Receive, if you haven’t established a practice of using it.

But when you dust it off and make a habit of writing down what you want daily, picture what you are asking for, then letting go or detaching …

Ask and Receive is worth its weight in platinum.

When you are in a corner and don’t know a way out remember this quote from …in the Presence of the Generous One. The Miracle Healing you Created…

Oh, I must warn you I’m one of those lucky folks that hear voices.

 

“You [humans] don’t get it. We [Guides/Angels] don’t have free will. We wait for your direction. We can only step in and help if we are asked. If you try to do it yourself, we cannot interfere.

            “That is what letting go is. That is what surrender is.

            “When you ask for help and allow help, anything can happen. Anything. We can do anything. We can make anything happen.

            “It is not up to you to know how to make anything happen. It is up to you to know how to ask and let go. Then, and only then, can we go to work.”

 

Nothing that happens in this life is impossible for you to handle. Everything you face, every trial, every challenge, every dire and impossible seeming thing is merely another opportunity to make a choice and experience a consequence.

Because this is how you learn and grow.

This is how you develop the divine attributes you will need in the next life.

This is how you elevate your being and connect with your transcendent self, your higher more powerful self.

Just remember there’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting all the help you can from Those who can do anything.
