Dear
Rich Dreams,
Hello,
My name is Shelly, I am a friend of Jill Lawrence and I have
listened to your radio interview with her and read your book.
I love them both!
I have a question for you regarding the belief thing. You
say in your book you do not have to do anything just ask,
visualize it and detach. My question is how does that work
when so many of the greatest books written say to acheive
your goals you must focus, work hard and persist. Are you
saying that those ways are not true or am I perceiving what
you are saying differently?
The reason I ask is I am currently struggling with a new job
earning straight commission, once I get it, I will earn a
very nice income however, I struggle with some inner conflicts
about myself in this job. Like it is not my purpose! I have
to face myself everyday and overcome the rejections, frustration,
and wondering if I am ever going to do good with this. I remember
the chapter on the thought you put out there. How do you change
your thought about something? I appreciate the good work you
are doing for the good of the planet. I look forward to your
response!
Sincerely,
Shelly

Shelly,
Growing up in Nebraska I learned the work ethic early on.
My grandfather worked six and a half days a week sunrise to
sunset on his farm until he was 82. He took off Sunday morning
and Wednesday evening for church, that was his relaxation.
This was very hard work. And he never had a vacation that
I know of. He owned and worked a section and a half of land.
Grew wheat, corn, sorghum and soy beans. Plowing, planting,
irrigating, and harvesting is very long hard, dirty work.
He raised pigs, cows and sheep. Which meant getting up in
the middle of the night during birthing season. And milking
cows every single morning of the year. He never was what I
would think of as rich, but I'm sure he thought himself rich.
Two months after my dad and uncle forced retirement on Grandpa
he died. To him the hard work and long hours were the joy
of life. He had emigrated from Germany with his parents and
to my Grandpa the opportunity to own land and run his own
business was rich beyond his wildest dreams.
He never thought of the long hard hours because he was doing
what he loved.
Are you doing what you love? If you are, the Universe will
support you and you will do well. It may take some time for
you become skilled at your business but there should be a
joy in that process. The Universe is always there for you.
Open up and accept the help. Or get a new business. One that
you do love.
Getting Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams is never about the
money or the long hard hours. It is always a process of spiritual
growth. You may decide to work long hard hours, but that's
not what will make you rich. That's what you want to do. You
choose that.
Commission sales can be very rewarding. Both financially and
personally. Once you learn how to sell. Once you learn that
unless you get the sale you don't eat, you become a very valuable
component in the economic system. You become what every business
is looking for.
Trust the Universe to protect you at all times. Trust the
Universe to provide for your needs. It may at times seem like
the world has arisen against you. But this is always an illusion.
Trust in the power of Good and you will succeed.
Oh, and for you second question: doubt is simply the absence
of Trust. For this ailment apply liberal quantities of prayer
and/or meditation. Ask to be infused with God's light, wisdom
and strength. In your mind's eye see this light surrounding
and filling your being.
And you can always ask for a couple of tigers. I have white
ones next to me at all times.
Good luck,
Keep us informed as to your success.
Tom & Penelope
